If the Shoe Fits you can not quit. (The Cruel Shoes)

Okay.....So I'm stubborn and cheap sometimes.   I didn't want to pay a lot for a new pair of running shoes because I"M CHEAP.....but I needed a new pair right away after my old reliable pair bit the dust..    600 miles is a lot for a shoe to take.     I didn't listen to my wife and instead stopped at Target and grabbed a pair of $13 dollar specials  (I had bought that brand before and they worked out ).    This time  NOT SO MUCH.   These shoes must have made by children with really tiny hands at the factory in Indonesia.   I mean they definitely were not size 9 1/2 like listed on the box.     (I should have tried them on first---I know---what an idiot).    Well I went out for my first run and  I could feel the shoes assaulting my feet right from the start......  About 2 miles into my 6 Mile  run --the secret compartment holding the razor blades was opened and they started working on my toes... Blistering began to form...I tried curling my toes up while I ran  (Because that will help right).....At about mile 5 the pain was too much.....2 Blocks away I pulled the Cruel Shoes (I was thinking about the short poem by Steve Martin at the time)  and walked in final 2 blocks in my sock.....

Lesson learned....my WIFE is usually right and i should just listen to her.......The Cruel Shoes cost me  $13 dollars and 3 days of not being able to run due to blisters...........SO don't go cheap on your running shoes.....Spend the extra  $ 20 or so dollars and get good shoes that fit properly .
