181 Day challenge

The 181 day challenge....2010
Last year as my birthday was approaching ....(the big 40) and I was trying to shed pounds with my  Death of He Fat program I decided to add another challenge to the mix.       So in mid -August I kicked off the  181 Day challenge  It was  7,240  Pushups and  10, 860  Abslides  in 181 days.
It was a challenge kicking my OCD into high gear as I had to keep out a daily average in order to accomplish my goal....If you missed a day you had to make it up on another day.   So even thought the daily ave wasn't that hard to do --there was a lot of catchup.



The final results were 7,240  Pushups ---A daily average  of about 40 per day.....
10,915  Abslides  a daily average  of about 60.3 per day
Along the way I also added regular Situps into the mix for the last 48 days   did  5,000  which was a daily average of about 104 a day for those 48 days....


I have all the spreasheets from it still  (stupid OCD)


My running total which started on August 20th  was  about 252 miles  in 167 days....A tiny 1.51 per day.
I really kicked the running into high gear after that which gave me much better results.   3.3 mile runs become  6 mile runs.    


I tried to start a new abslide and pushup challenge after that which fell off the wagon because I tried to increase the daily ave. and quickly fell to far behind to where I stopped doing them.


Now I've decided to bring a similar challenge back......This time it is Abslides  Presses and Curls  (with wimpy 10 lb weights)   ---You have to start somewhere..


I figure I will do it every other day...and maybe try to squeeze some traditional situps and pushups in between.   So I'm not setting a figure just yet .....But it has begun.....
