Sticking with the I-pod talk finding the right soundtrack is important. Long gone are the days of the Walkman. I remember running back in high school with the audio tape walkman dangling at my side --literally trying to pull the short --short running shorts of the 80's off me for the whole run. Trying to fast forward the tape while running to get to the good songs, or battling with radio stations cutting in and out.
Now the I-pod (The runner's friend) gives you the chance to program your run music. At the touch of a button you can hear that song you were grooving on again or skip ahead. Picking a good mix of upbeat songs can really drown out that mental conversation that goes on during a run and get you more in the mood. If you have a good enough mix of music downloaded on your pal ( I-pod) you may actually look forward to your run......Everyone's mix will be different......I have a little LL Cool J---some No Doubt.....some Snoop.....Some Devo and James Gang in my running mix.
