I-Pod a Runner's best Friend

One of the best ways to quiet the brain and all its wandering thoughts is the I-pod.
The I-pod is truly the runner's best friend.   Something to make all the thoughts about wanting to stop -or walk -or quit....at least quiet down a little.    You can't really get the brain to be totally quiet but you can at least distract it a little.  The key is to get a good mix.   Getting that perfect blend of songs that will motivate you.    When I first got my I-pod I made the mistake of downloading the best of Oliva Newton John CD on my I-pod......(Not a good idea).  While Let's Get Physical was a nice song to run to the last thing you want to hear when HE FAT and out of shape was the song  "Heart Attack".   So I experimented with a different mix of songs that were good to run to.   I found a good mix of things to listen to.   Mostly upbeat stuff.   B-52's  and No Doubt worked well as does Devo and some rap (which I 'll touch on in a later blog).    Just sounds that you like that get you going---that have a good pace that you can run to and that keep you motivated.

Thank you I-pod.
