Running : It's 90% Mental

One of the toughest things about running is the barrage of thoughts that occur during a run.
Running is 90% mental.   A constant battle between what your mind is telling you and what your body is really capable of.   The mind gets messages from the body and interprets them depending on mood and about 30 other factors. When  you are  just starting to run again the brain keeps telling you to "STOP" "That is enough"  It says.   "It's okay to walk now"   It whispers in your ear.   It sets up hurdles and barriers for you to have to fight through and conquer.   It is brutal.  The mind can really be a Bastard sometimes... There are ways to battle the brain with all its wandering thoughts.  I will bring up how to attempt to get the brain to SHUT UP---and they work to a certain degree...But sometimes the brain is just screaming and even those measures can't quiet it down especially if you have things to think about.   A run can really be a mental journey even more than a physical  one.
But the barriers must eventually be broken through.....
