Have you every noticed this before while running ?
The Runner's Nod.
It is like a secret Masonic handshake that most runners give to each other as they pass by.
A Nod or polite wave that runners feel compelled for some reason to give each other.
It is like an acknowledgement or recognition of the other persons efforts of being out there and running.
A shared experience that demands acknowledgement..
Yes I know it is polite ...But you don't see people in the grocery store nodding or waving like
"Hey shopping huh".....But runners do " Hey ...Running" they communicate with The Runner's Nod.
It is something special I guess to the world of the runner...and maybe something that everyone else should do.... So try next time your bowling --just nod "Hey....Bowling" or next time your in the nail saloon "Hey... getting your nails done" Spread The Runner's Nod to the rest of the world
